EyeCare of Vermont engaged Bread Loaf Corporation to provide Integrated Design-Build services for the interior renovation of its downtown Burlington clinic.

Confronted with a narrow layout and the unique challenge of operating during the COVID-19 pandemic, EyeCare needed a comprehensive redesign that would enhance the clinic’s functionality while allowing them to continue seeing patients throughout construction.

Bread Loaf’s architects collaborated closely with the client to create a more efficient and welcoming layout, featuring three exam rooms, a private office, and a waiting area. A carefully phased construction plan ensured one exam room remained operational at all times. Work included selective demolition, relocation of walls, installation of new ceilings and flooring, mechanical and lighting upgrades, and new furniture and fixtures.

Despite tight constraints and complex logistics, Bread Loaf successfully delivered a bright, modernized clinic that is both highly functional and inviting for patients and staff alike.
